Our team met with Jason our trainer tonight and everybody was there! Yay ladies....and Bill. We did some strength training so we will do Mon, Wed, Fri strength training and the other days cardio. So since my last post things have gotten a teeny tiny bit better but everybody is agreeing that it's a constant battle with food and mind over matter. I haven't snacked with my after school kids all week which was one of my weaknesses...a bite here and a bite there was adding up! Slowly it is sinking in what bad habits I have had which I think is the 1st step to changing.
Yesterday I went on a field trip with Kindergarten and ended up carrying my whole 1/2 bushel bag of apples a pretty good distance. So as doing so I thought to myself....How much better would you feel if this was the weight that came off? What an insight that gave me Bill and I guess-timated it to be 25-30lbs. So that is my "official" early goal for now. Later on that might change but for now that is it. Who knew a walk to the car with a bag of apples would be so enlightening and tiring LOL
This weekend will be another battle as I try to stay away from Oktoberfest fried foods so say a little prayer for me this weekend! My support system that I have is awesome!! I couldn't ask for more!

The Battle of the French Fry
I was so proud of myself yesterday I worked so hard making it 2 miles! I haven't done that in.....well a long time we will leave it at that! So tonight I was leaving school and was hungry and frustrated it's like a lethal combo! I get to my mother in laws house and much on some Funyons mmmm their salty crunchy goodness they tasted soooo good. But I promptly stopped myself and put them down. Well then as I told Elaine about what had happened at school...we will just say it's had been a rough day.... the hunger pains started telling me I had to eat I had to eat. So I leave and did it.....drove down grease alley. I saw the big yellow Wendy's sign. Stay strong I thought and nope I didn't! I pulled in and ordered a Jr Hamburger Plain and some fries and of course oranges for kids, you know I have priorities. I lifted the fry to my mouth and it tasted GREASY! I could not believe it so I tried again with another I thought to myself this can't be right! So brain told my mouth we gotta eat this suck it up mouth we need this fatty goodness to be happy. So mouth opened up again and tried it but again it tasted greasy. Brain was sooooo disappointed in mouth. So the fries went back in the bag and to the trash. I could not believe it. It's a battle daily over food choices and I must conquer this. So now my friends I leave you with day 2 of the Battle of the Bulge. Tomorrow will be a new day and a new battle. It's all about lifestyle change not just a quick diet fix!

Workout Numero Uno
Well we had our introduction today to the workout areas to which I thought we would walk around and look at them and then go home....not break a sweat! So we started with Jason, who will be our trainer, and he started us on kickboxing! Which kicked my butt!!!! Wow it's been 6 yrs since I did kickboxing but I gave it my all and boy did it feel good! Then we went to a step aerobic class which was "fun?" then on to the treadmills for some cardio and ending up on the TRX. This was challenging but I think I liked it the most. I need to go buy my a "goal outfit" to keep me motivated although getting up the stairs and not being out of breath is a good motivation at the moment!
My teammates rocked it right in there with me today! My OAR team is Barb, Deb, and Kristin woot woot! Bill worked last night so he wasn't able to go. We are walking tonight to help kickoff our 1st day and then have all signed up for a Zumba class sounds interesting we will see how it goes! Wed night is going to be our night with Jason our trainer so say a prayer for me on Wed night one that I make it out a live and two so does he LOL Really seems like a nice guy. Thanks for all the support that I have got from my friends it really does mean alot and keeps me going!

Let DO THIS THING!
Okay so this is my 1st official BLOG :) Woot Woot My name is Rhiannon Castetter I am the mom of 3 lovely children. Avery is 9, Sam is 5, and Addy J is 1 1/2. Bill and I have been married for 10 years!! So that is a little about me now....I am going to take you on a journey through my weight loss adventure. I have already started modifying things trying to slowly creep into Monday which will be my "official" start. Bill is doing this with me so our 1st hurtle will be not to kill each other as we start to have sugar withdrawals. All pop is going to be gone from the house! We are on our last few right now. I have always drank diet but that is not the best thing for you either. We will start by joining the Battle of the Bulge competition here in Columbus to jump start us and get us motivated! I will be looking for ideas on yummy dinners, snacks and anything else you have to offer.
I did try my 1st Boca Chicken Patty and LIKED IT! No scratch that LOVED IT! So next week instead of the carb filled bun I'll do it between 2 green leaf lettuce leaves with some onion YUMMO. I hope to keep this blogging up as I reach the highs and lows of weight loss. And look forward to the new and improved me!!!!
